Wild-Caught Blue Shrimp

  • Riviera Seafood Club's Wild-Caught Blue Shrimp, scientifically named Penaeus stylirostris, are sustainably and responsibly caught in Baja, Mexico. Our Blue Shrimp are Fair Trade approved, resulting in some of the best wild-caught Mexican blue shrimp in the market. They present a distinct sweet and succulent flavor paired with a crisp and snappy texture. These blue shrimp, or Ebi in Japanese, come with the shell on yet are easy to peel.

    Riviera's Blue Shrimp are caught using day-boats which as small vessels that use an artisanal technique, harnessing the power of the wind and tide to drift a highly selective net called suripera. This technique has the lowest bycatch and fuel consumption per pound in the world.

    All orders of Wild-Caught Blue Shrimp are individually packaged, frozen, and shipped using overnight express delivery. We highly recommend them for grilling!

Wild remains the Best.

I love this wild shrimp as it is slit and cleaned yet kept in most of the shell to preserve the flavor...huge amount of time saved-I still check for Black string remnants---My fav is butterfly Grilled in shell...basted with a swipe of garlic and butter salt and pepper mix...fresh lime sliced as a garnish...can be served with a Spanish rice as flavorful as one creates..keep the grilled Shrimp simple. .......also good in Scampi.....remove and boil the shells in water and white wine.....or beer. Season for stock. Strain liquid to a clear rendered broth. Put aside-Prepare some pasta---put aside..In a pan...heat a bit of olive oil...quickly sear the shrimp........very quickly ...add the stock...add the pasta ....stir quickly....serve in a a nice bowl and garnish with diced parsley

Haven't found better

I have ordered these shrimps every month since March and have not found anything better. For convenience, I do prefer the IQF over the block. Scrumptious with olive oil and garlic salt over a cast iron skillet. Good size and color with a great flavor pop.

Absolutely Amazing!

The best, freshest seafood in the South Bay! We ordered the searing grade tuna and the shrimp, both were absolutely amazing! Fast, fresh... and ordering was super easy. We LOVE Riviera Seafood Club and we'll be ordering again very soon!

Worth every penny!

Awesome quality and handling...attention to detail is apparent from ordering process, to packaging and delivery to the freshness of product. Even the delivery courier positioned my first order in the only sliver of shade on my porch...Riviera understands maintaining the cold chain through every step. I've ordered the wild Mexican white shrimp twice...no comparison to any farmed shrimp I've tried and worth every penny. I tried Kampachi once in Kona and had to try preparing it myself. I served the Kampachi (amberjack) grilled to my visiting parents...a really versatile/"forgiving" fish that maintains its moisture and is delicious. I'll definitely serve that again. I've been in seafood business for 34 years and can see these guys are on top of their game! Ready to try their Wagyu beef!
