Riviera Seafood Club's Wild-Caught Blue Shrimp, scientifically named Penaeus stylirostris, are sustainably and responsibly caught in Baja, Mexico. Our Blue Shrimp are Fair Trade approved, resulting in some of the best wild-caught Mexican blue shrimp in the market. They present a distinct sweet and succulent flavor paired with a crisp and snappy texture. These blue shrimp, or Ebi in Japanese, come with the shell on yet are easy to peel.
Riviera's Blue Shrimp are caught using day-boats which as small vessels that use an artisanal technique, harnessing the power of the wind and tide to drift a highly selective net called suripera. This technique has the lowest bycatch and fuel consumption per pound in the world.
