For Fresh Bluefin Tuna (never frozen): Fresh Bluefin Tuna can be stored in the refrigerator for sashimi use immediately upon arrival. For raw consumption, eat within 1-2 days. Any longer and the tuna will become searing, poke, or cooking grade. You can also freeze these portions immediately upon arrival and store for up to one week for sashimi use or 10 days for poke, searing, and cooking preparations (keep in mind that freezing sashimi grade fish in a conventional home freezer diminishes the quality of the fish. Rule of thumb-- eat it while it's fresh!

For Superfrozen Bluefin Tuna: Superfrozen Bluefin Tuna can be stored in a conventional home freezer for approximately 1.5 weeks before oxidation occurs (change in color).

Place superfrozen product in cold water for 15 to 30 minutes, until thawed. Cut and enjoy within 24 hours.

Riviera Seafood Club's Pacific Bluefin Tuna Chu-Toro is a renowned cut, most famous for the mixed gradient of Akami and Toro/Otoro. Our Bluefin tuna are responsibly caught in the wild, and then sustainably ranched in the pristine waters of Baja, Mexico by Bluefiná. Each and every Bluefin is harvested to order, always utilizing the Ike Jime method to maximize flavor and texture.

The Chu-Toro Cut is sushi and sashimi grade with perfectly balanced fat content, resulting in a smooth, buttery taste with melt-in-your-mouth texture typically found at high-end sushi bars. With each bite your taste buds are greeted with a distinct medium-full flavor that shifts from light to rich umami, complemented by a texture ranging from soft to semi-firm.

Each piece is perfectly cut as a Saku (or Block), individually packed and shipped using overnight delivery to your door. If you are intending to consume the seafood raw, do not re-freeze bluefin tuna as this will ruin the integrity of the fish.

We offer our Bluefin tuna two ways, either arriving fresh (never frozen) which needs to be consumed as soon as possible or Superfrozen. Superfreezing is a method of freezing foods below -60°C, locking in the freshness and texture, while also allowing you to store in your freezer for later consumption making this option extremely convenient.

Time your defrost process to a couple of hours before your meal for the optimal outcome.

Yes and no. Yes, you can refreeze it for a future cooking preparation. No, if you plan on using it for raw preparation.

Yes! We suggest that most super-frozen products may be stored in a conventional freezer for up to 2 months upon usage.

Pacific Bluefin Tuna Chu-Toro

Very good

This was my first order from this company. The fish quality is amazing. And the customer service is 5 star - answered my questions really fast.
I lived in Japan several years and now live in a town in the states without access to the food I enjoy.
So far I have tried the bluefin tuna chu-toro and otoro, both were fantastic. I have not opened the salmon and yellowtail yet. I am sure it will be good too. Can’t wait. Def will reorder.

Fresh tuna 🍣 belly

The only problem was I couldn’t afford several pounds of the tuna belly. I purchased one pound and smoked it on my smoker. I want more so that I could prepare it several ways.

Great tuna

Thawed it out and cut it into these two plates with hokkaido scallops. Wonderful!!

Great Bluefin Tuna

The chi-toro was wonderful! The super frozen processing works perfectly to preserve the integrity of this delicious fish; only fresh caught could be better!

AMAZING Bluefin Tuna!!

This was my first time ever trying bluefin tuna. I decided to give Riviera a try because they had the best prices by far compared to everyone else. So reasonable I thought there would be a catch. My shipment arrived right on time and needless to say I was amazed with what I received. It was packaged professionally and the bluefin was incredible. It had no fishy smell, and the meat was so tender and fatty that it literally was melting in my hand. Upon putting slices on sushi rice, I swear this stuff melts in your mouth. You literally do not have to chew it. I gave it to friends and family, some of whom do not eat or like raw fish. Everyone LOVED it. Their eyes opened so wide when they took their first bite, made me so happy! I was honestly hesitant to order raw fish online, but after this experience, I will be ordering from them again. I have referred friends and family and I know you will to after trying this!
